Artesania Latina 1/84 H.M.S. Victory - 1765 # 22900
The Artesania Latina HMS Victory wooden ship model measures in at 1230mm long. This wooden boat kit is highly realistic with many fine details. The H.M.S Victory was launched on the 7th of May 1765. It was active in the British Navy from 1778 to 1812, gaining experience in important battles throughout the world such as the battle of Ushant (1781) and San Vicente (1797).
Ultimately however, it was on the 21st of October 1805 at the Battle of Trafalgar, where, under the command of Admiral Nelson, it spearheaded the victory of the British fleet against the French fleet. On the 21st October 2005, the Royal Navy celebrated the victory at Trafalgar, and the H.M.S Victory once again shot to the limelight. Since 1922 the Victory has been restored and is now a museum, permanently moored in port at Portsmouth. Interestingly it has never been de-commissioned from the Navy and is still regarded as a ship of the fleet.
The Artesania Latina H.M.S. Victory is a fantastic kit, ideal for the advanced modeller.
